Solder Core Versions

When working with soldering in electronics, two main types of solder core are commonly used:

  1. Water Soluble Solder Core

    • This type is ideal for components that may come into contact with water, such as resistors, capacitors, and IC sockets.

    • Part Number: 24-6337-6403

  2. No Clean Solder Core

    • This solder core is used for components that will be installed after washing the PCBs with hot water, such as trimmers and potentiometers.

    • Part Number: 24-6337-8809
